ah! argh! woulda been perfect if you just coulda upped the shutter speed, maybe got the bird completely in focus, or maybe if you lowered it even more and got him heavily out of focus with a dragged outline. just seems that the inbetween feels like its an almost-missed-a-perfect-shot type feel. i get a lot of those a lot of the time. but the composition and placement of the bird is perfect i think, and the background colors of the sky look good. any manipulation to the image?
Mark - Excellant color and composition, and I love the hot spot (sun) on the left side. Of course, it would be better if it was sharper, but for the reasons listed above, I would still consider it successful. Did you crop a larger image to make this one?
Kam, It is slightly out of focus, Arrrghh! LOL. ps was auto levels and noise ninja. I use nn to sharpen my pics as well as clean them up most of the time.
Lisa Marie, I found that out right after I posted.
GB1, Thanks. I might be able to clean up the soft edges, but it'll take me a while.
The frame is actually the slide mount.
I really like the strong shapes of the wings here. It is a pity it isn't sharper but it is an interesting image and certainly worth the effort of trying to capture it. The colors are beautiful. Is it a crow/raven or some other kind of predator bird?
