    Talking side doors of walmart

so there's this really cool view right behind walmart up a little hill, and so i headed out there yesterday in hopes that i would get some good pictures of the mountains... turns out i didnt... but on my way down the hill i decided to take a picture of the shadows playing off of the side door. What do you guys think?

    Nice shot SD,
You've got some good geometry going for you there. However, I can give you two recommendations that may help.

    1) Be very careful of a level camera and perspective for shots such as this. The wall and door appear to be tilting away.

    2) For digital cameras, be very careful of over exposure. The top parts of your wall are blown out (no information, a digital 255,255,255 RGB channels). To counter this, you can underexpose a tad and bring up later if you post-process.

    Good luck,
    Tim

I think it's great that you noticed the light, that's one thing I really love about photography, it changes the way you see the world. It might be fun for you to experiment with the cropping on this image. I just put my hands up to the monitor and moved it around and I saw some interesting alternatives. Give it a go. :-) Good luck
