    Showing Off

    I swear this is probably one of the last duck/bird photos I'll upload for a while. When the sky isn't interesting, I can't think of anything else to shoot!

    As it is, if I could redo this one, I'd rotate my CP filter beforehand and try to get the water to reflect well, I'd also focus a little better. I was shooting a different subject when this guy got rowdy though.

    Good catch, could do with a bit extra light to make out the features a bit more, or it could just be my PC screen. I'd also try and crop a little more from the bottom to make the bird more pronounced and strengthen the backdrop.

    I agree that some sort of crop would be good but I'd crop from the top as I find the water/reflections to be appealing.

    Too bad that rock is there.....

    Yup, I concur with what MB said... truly a shame that rock was there....

    The main issue with cropping from the bottom is it would make the duck closer to the center....

    That's some impressive speed though... good catch!
