    should I clean the wall

    So many of the window boxes in German towns have red flowers in. I'm surprised there isn't a law mandating that they must be red

    But should I remove the handprints and bird poo from the wall ?
    Or leave it as it was shot ?

    I vote for remove, this is a clean nice image. I would also clean up some of the window, at least what's showing from the inside

    Don't know about the bird doo but I'd actually like the hand print to show more. Don't know if that's possible in pp.

    A great image Paul and a definite keeper! It is such a clean image that I would remove the poop - it distracts I think from the overall clean-ness of it.

    I love it Paul! I think your composition and placement of the window is right on. I even love the handle thingy that comes in and breaks the squareness of it. The stain can remain also, i don't mind it. Nothing is perfect in life after all :-)

    edit: ooops didn't really notice the hand print. I say let it be. or remove it. but the poo is great! lol . I usually like to comment before reading others' comments, that way, i'm not being persuaded by them.

    I agree just the bird poo,

    Lovely image Paul, I thought they did have the red flower law.

    Exactly, that's my thoughts too. While can be effective to have two total opposites in a shot, in this case it doesn't work because the hands are hardly visible and the bird poo won't be recognised by every viewer as bird poo.

    Hehe, UFO for sure! I'm in vote for removal of the poo, but if that depends on what you're trying to really express in the picture? I'm typically more serious, clean-cut photog, so I'd personally remove it. But based on some of the other pictures I've seen from you Paul, it does add that fun element I see in your other pictures! Both works!

    I would leave the poo. It is a very nice shot. I think taking the poo out would make the shot too "clean".

    To clone, or not to clone: that is the question:
    Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
    The marks and smears of outrageous birdies,
    Or to take arms against a flock of seagulls,
    And by opposing end them? To clone: to clone;
    No more; and by a clone to say we end
    The poop and the thousand natural marks
    That walls are heir to, 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish'd. To clone, to clone;
    To clone: perchance to clean: ay, there's the rub ....

    ROTFL, Mike. Are you ever out shooting a scene and instead of cleaning up for the shot think to yourself. Ahhh " I will just clone that right out when I get home."? I do it fairly often.
    That's the worse kind of Poop too, the purple stuff. Arrggg.

    Nice Mike.
    Elderberries have an inevitable result on the clean sheets on the washing line, once the birds have "processed" them.
