    Shots from the Green ZOne

Haven't been around much lately....been busy at work.

I took a few quick shots from around Baghdad today in the Green Zone.

    Kevin,

I was definitely looking forward to see more of your photos from Baghdad. I love your shots, the first one is spectacular. Love the simplicity, and the shot just works for me in every way. The second one is a little busy, but I love the american boat in there...a great addition to the shot.

The third one is very photojournalistic for me. Symbolic with the barbed wire and the flags.

Great shots and stay safe Kevin!

Beautiful work Kevin. It's good that you see something as beautiful as that first shot there.
Seeing the flags there makes me wonder if they ever find a period to fly them at full mast.
My son returned from Iraq a couple months ago ( 1-64 of the 3ID) and the photos he and his buddies had were all snapshots of the barracks and patrols. It's good to see the area through a photographer's eye. Thanks for that and for serving.

This first one is my favorite of the three.
I like the mood it sets, especially since I know what is going on in the area.
It is very peaceful. I am also guessing that the Soldier is is enjoying some fishing.
I like the placement of the horizion, it in just the right place. I think the photogrpah would be a little better if the Soldier weren't so centered though.
Thanks for sharring your photographs from "over there". And of course thanks for going!
    Hoo Ahh!
