    Shots along the Tracks

Went walking along the railroad tracks today, took a few pictures.

I haven't had a chance to retouch any of these, and I know the limbs get in the way on the second one, but that was mainly a test of my new lens (Canon 75-300mm at 300mm f/5.6). The other one I think turned out pretty nice, I'm not sure what (if anything) needs to be done with it.

For the first one, perhaps brighten it up a bit. If using photoshop, make a copy of it, change the blend mode to screen and see if you like it.

    Hi Keith,

I like the folk singer image but the musician seems a little too dark.

The second image seems too busy with nothing to hold the eye.

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.

I agree, we need to be able to see the singer better. Composition is good except for his feet being chopped off.

A few tweaks here and there and the first image is an album cover (do they make albums any more?). Open up the shadows is what this one mostly needs.

Yes BTW, you did cut off his feet.
    No, I DON'T need that.
