    Shenandoah Valley

On a trip back from DC, we took the Skyline Drive. This photo does not do the scenery justice, it is gorgeous.

    Re: Shenandoah Valley

A bit more vibrancy and a slight kick in contrast would help it.
Just a little PP TLC is needed.
    Look through a glass eye.
    Give it a few tries.
Nothing goes right in its time.

    Re: Shenandoah Valley

Arne, I like the idea and I love the place (been there myself). I popped it into my editor and noted a few things. First off, the levels showed there was no true white ...when I moved the slider just a bit I got a better contrast overall. Also, there is a a lot more color that can exploited here ...especially with the browns and yellows ...maybe try saturating it more ...finally, I have a question - is this a single shot or a composite / HDR ...it looks to me that in the middle there is some "overlapping" ...but maybe that is just the resolution of the jpg.

    Beautiful place!

Agree this needs a bit of help from PP, more saturation and contrast

there are spots in the sky probably from a dirty lens, and obvious in this shot due to the use of small aperture

seems the horizon has a bit of barrel distortion

    Re: Shenandoah Valley

I tried a few suggestions. This is a single shot HDR. In this version, it seems a bit more "fake" than the original.
