    Chappy,

First, welcome to the website. Hope to see more of your work over time.
Second, from top to bottom, I like the second shot. Play around with it in your software package and see if you can tone down the intensity of the sun/glare. That might enhance the contrast a bit and really bring out the clouds. Nice shot. I lived in SF for a few years. It is a wonderful place; hope you had a pleasant experience while you were there.

    Chappy,

Welcome to PR. The second image is very nice , CF is right... very workable..
The third "abstract" shot jumps right off the screen with color.I like how the paint/un painted contrasts.Good eye.

Very nice panoramas. The Golden Gate Bridge the sun need to be toned down a little. The SF at night is a little soft on the right side. The last one I like the fog, but was it really blue?

    Hey Chappy,

I really love the last shot. The blue hues and the fog, layers of different strength etc. reallyl make this shot very enjoyable for me. you need to crop a tiny bit of the right side though, do u see that little black line?

Also do you have one that is a bit taller? it's too panoramic right now. a taller shot might work better. But having said that, I think it's an awesome capture!

Welcome Chappy. I liked the first one till I saw the second one and then the 3rd one etc. My favorite is the 3rd, seems to have everything working, though I might have tried leaving the rest of the circle mark at the top? If you want to post more than one at a time then keep the shots the same theme, makes it easier to critique. I look forward to seeing more from you, certainly looks like you have an eye for composition and creativity. Cheers, S

lol...i really hadn't noticed it untill you mentioned it....grrrr....i guess my eye was always pulled to the center....that line is from tilt adjustment in the software....i am still learning how to hold my camera straight it seems.
i don't know about the rest of you but i feel like there is so much to think about before releasing the shutter....i think i forget the basics...I.E. is the picture level in the view finder. i am hoping that at some point some of these things become second nature.
    thanks again for the input.

    Thanks for the input.
that night shot was a bear to get.
i must have taken 30 or 40 shots of that skyline that night.
of course i was on a walkng tour of Alcatraz Island.
i was trying to use a round top railing post to steady the camera...
then i tried proping the camera up on a bench stuffing a wad of paper under the lens to hold it at the right height and setting the timer...lol...i can only imagine what i looked like...lol. finally my wife was like "come on already...if you don't have it by now you never will" thankfully she keeps me grounded...otherwise i would have missed the last boat out of there...lol
anyway...i guess i am trying to say that for me night shots are the hardest...that, and i see a tripod purchase in my future...

Welcome to the forums. They are all interesting and colorful and definitely quite good for someone who has only been shooting for a short time. I am drawn to the third one from the top: the color is great, the sharpness is perfect, lighting is even, and the composition works very well. I would say you've made a great entry into photography. Tripods are the way to go, you photos will always look sharper and this really matters if you are printing or display in very large format.

I like the next to the last one best. The sepia tones and lighting add mystery IMO. Your "new" pictures are impressive.

I use the grid in the view finder. It works really well and takes away all the guess work
