    Sepia Barn

This is one of my first attempts at non-destructive sepia toning in the GIMP.

Thought I should add that I defocused it and added the border for an old photo look.

Looks pretty good, but I would like to see a bit more texture in the sky as the top border gets lost in the clouds

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I think you could use just a little more detail in the sky and the color in the sky looks off, even with the sepia treatment.

I like it without the detail in the sky, but would like to see a comparison. Is it me, or is the barn leaning slightly away from the viewer? Nice image though!

The sepia really works good for it. As for the sky I like that it disappears into the vignette.

    Re: Sepia Barn

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really appreciate it.

The leaning has to be some type illusion. That little barn is in really great shape. As I recall, I even had a thought at the time of how straight and erect it was.

Since I'm REALLY inexperienced with GIMP or any other photo editing app, I'll have to play around with adding texture to the sky. Not sure what I'll come up with, but I'll give it a whirl.

I personally don't care much fro the strong white vignette. I think the barn itself is a decent subject, but I would perhaps frame it a little more to the side with more sky and land - most likely on the left side of the image.

I think it works, but I want less sky above the barn. This would make it look traditional, more nostalgic.
