Sent this into our local paper

Went out to pick my sons up from school and at the end of the road the was a car accident , 3 Fire engines in attendence and an ambulance but didnt have my camera with but the time i got back with my camera it had been cleared and i took a quick shot before approaching the police who said i couldnt take any photos so this is what i sent to the paper with a little report

My only question is why couldn't you take pictures?
Its in a public place, the insurance companies might actually like some photos, and I don't think it would be of any interest to terrorists unless that's the headquarters of the SIS in the background.
