    Senior Trip

I am in Love with the Sony Nex 5n. No I am not a senior, yet, just invited to go on a trip with my Dad.

Interesting (somewhat creepy look) from the lady on the right. Drew my eye right to her...

    Re: Senior Trip

the lady looking into it really makes the shot, that much is obvious. But I wish we could see more detail on the left most TV, especially with it being in the top left portion of the composition. If it could be believably done so, maybe enhance the visibility of the reflections in that TV to add a little interesting detail. Nice tonal treatment. I think you are pushing it with the white point, but it still works as is, but not an ounce brighter. Could you retrieve just a tiny bit of detail from out the windows? Good job overall.

    Re: Senior Trip

The edit is a bit better except the two ladies have lost some of that sharpness and dont seem to have quite the same punch
On second thoughts I think I prefer the first.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

She is giving you the look !

agree with Pete about the second loosing some sharpness, I guess easy enough to restore, buI prefer to see some detail in the windows , not as blown as in #1

    Re: Senior Trip

I don't think its the sharpness, I think its the black point and the highlight recovery. The window looks better on the second, but the passengers look better in the first. If you could mask the changes selectively to the window/tv, might be best.

I figured it was you, that's usually my first assumption when i see a person in the reflection.. lol, I think its good that the right TV has a program playing and the back one is off to give the reflection.

Thanks again all. I have the layered shot saved. I'll see what I can do.

    Re: Senior Trip

I think its a very good image, Greg. I like the tones you pulled out of this scene and the camera height just gives us the shape of the seats and the tops of the seniors heads with their silvery/gray hair. some faces turned to show profiles and expressions, glasses and the one turned around looking at you is a gem. I like everything about this except i wish there were something visible on the screen of the TV in front since it is so large and its presence very much a big part of this image.
It looks to me like a movie is viewing on the second TV(unless its just the reflection of the inside of the bus) and I'm thinking if you were up for it, you could copy that image and paste it into the front TV and enlarge and skew it to fit. It might add that little bit of extra interest that could be had from that screen. (just a whacky idea :P)

There are things I like about your edit (such as the recovered highlights outside the windows and the shadow detail inside) but I find the face of the woman looking at you had a better light in the first image and some of the definition of the others as well. If you can get some of that back into the second edit it would all that much beter.

Good shot Greg. yeah, it looks like Sony is really coming on strong.
