feet and elbow chopped in first but I don't think it hurts much, if at all.
It appears to me that it is meant to be soft focus and I think it works whether meant to or not.
Second is very nice but I keep getting distracted by the grass on left next to her arm. Cropping it would seriously un-balance the photo, though. unless you can crop some from the bottom, too. Not enough room at top to crop unless you increase the canvas size and clone some of the trees up into it.
Three is cute but would like a closer shot. The bg trees are a bit distracting, especially where her feet merge into them.
@2 gets my vote for best.
The most important thing is whether she liked them. Did she?
These are all very well done, and very in tune to the current trend in Senior portraiture. I'm guessing the softness is from not sharpening after resizing down for the web. Good practice to at minimum hit the eyes and lips with the sharpen brush after resizing smaller.
If the family is paying for the shots, that's the best critique of all, keep doing what you're doing :thumbsup:
