I think you could use some contrast(not much)..and maybe a softer light time of day. Obviously the eyes are pretty important to try and accentuate some through lighting etc.

I agree - nice shot. Very good considering it's a hold out the camera shot too. I sort of like the contrast as is. The only part that looks harsh is the lighting on your sister's face. Nice
