    Self Portrait, Abstract

    I wanted to do something a little different, Do you like it or is it to much?

    As contrary as this may sound silhouettes to be used effectively require a fair amount of detail. That means shape, form, and even edge lighting in some cases.

    A person as a silhouette is more effective as a profile or semi-profile shot.

    Thanks Ron,
    I had several ideas in my mind for a self portrait. This is probably the only one that wasn't a profile shot. But how I took this it would have been very dificult to do a profile. I also still have the original version with some detail in the silhoutte.

    The original also has a little less detail in the leaves all I really did to the background was a curves adjustment. Thanks for your comments as well.

    To me, the background seems nicely non-distracting. But not including your legs etc might have been a mistake here, for it seems just a little chopped off w/o that. I agree that it there be a bit too little info. Lessons learned.
