I think I like the color on the cropped one and the composition on the full frame.

i find the colors are washed out to much, and the halos around the edges kinda throw me off too.

I don't know if this is HDR or messed with in some other way, but I don't like it - sorry.
I find the haloes around things and odd colour casts a real issue.

Yeah, the rainbow colored spines (center/right) were the first thing that jumped out at me when the page loaded...

Man, you guys are a tough crowd. I think the reasons you guys mentioned are why I kinda like them. Everything in the image seems uncomfortable. The artificial colors, the spikey leaves, the unnatural glow and the funky not quite balanced composition.
