I like the color and texture of the hat. His expression tells a story all it's own. Nice bit of whimsey. The left frame background is distracting, my eye is drawn there and away from the subject. Did you consider a tighter crop? Finally, if this gent were on his way to Mordor, he'd have a much bigger bottle of Cab.

Tighter crop is probably a good idea. Background is very bright. Hard to carry enough alcohol to get to Mordor. May need to fed ex some ahead...
