I like the way you've captured the waves at their peak. And this photo wouldn't be what it is without the birds. Is it a bit yellow?

    Hi Gary,
Vey nice capture! I especially like the positioning of the birds: one facing the sea but the other two preferring to go away. Interesting!

I like the wave action in this one the best of the two! The birds I can imagine just running in front of the surf as they always do. Good use of the sky, surf, and sand leading off into the vanishing point.

    Good photo Gary.

    Hi Gary,

You caught the interaction of the incoming wave with the backwash at the perfect moment. What I like about this shot is that my eye is lead from the gulls to the wave and then back to the gulls -- hoping that they see it. The higher camera angle (when comparing to your other image) provides a better sense of scale.

This image is dramatic -- giving me the tension and thrill I feel when on the surf's edge on a big day. Very nice....

Gary, I was wondering how these would come out. Arguably, they are nicely composed. I really like the tones in the sand and the posture of the birds. I might have tried to go for a slightly more dramatic sky but then, that's a matter of personal tastes.
