    Scenes Of The City I

Too nice of a night to be sitting in the house so I set out for a look about. I have five shots of the city tonight. Scene I... this is the reflecting pond in front of the Botanical Gardens in Balboa Park.

Another good one, looks like you are missing a light on the left, but the reflection is wonderful. Is it level???? Maybe my eyes are off. What do you think???/

    Greg,

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment. I can't tell if the horizon is off or not. It looks like it could be but then, I can't tell. Also, I am such a novice with PS that I haven't yet figured out how to correct horizon tilt.

    Thanks again,

It does look as if it leans just a bit, not much tho. Very nice shot otherwise tho.

Reflection is great. Yes, it does seem to be leaning a tad, but that's an easy fix. I had more trouble with leaning pictures until I activated the gridlines feature on my camera. It gives me vertical and horizontal lines to match the subject with. It's helped a lot. I don't know much about cameras other than my own, so I'm not sure if that's a common feature.

Grid line feature?! I have read much literature about the XTi but have not seen that mentioned... I wonder.

    Great idea, thanks very much.

When you crop in PS you can move the pointer to the corner of you picture and turn it. I know there is a better way but I am a novice at PS too. You have great night pictures CF....

I don't have any experience with Canon cameras, so I'll be of no help. Keep up the nice work. I've never been to San Diego, but you make it seem like a great place to take pictures.

I am actually looking into possibly moving there, and these pictures are making me more intrigued about the possibilities!
