This Scat's For You

I thought I'd interject some whimsy here with this image. I captured this on a trip to a local PA (Philly area) State Park. The animal, whatever it was, deposited this neat pile in the middle, and on top of, a flat rock. I don't think it was a domestic dog because of the color and contents of this dropping. The big red eyed fly was the reason I decided to take the shot. Does anyone know what kind of animal may have left this sample?

if it was dog sized it was probably a coyote. based on the location and what looks to be hair in it.

I agree with Dylan in that it most likely belonged to a coyote.

As for a C&C, love the shadow, a bit too tight on the DOF, but the fly is nice. Next time perhaps a little lower to show the height of that nice DQ twist
