Scaffolding, With Or Without, Which Is Better? - Holga...

I was out and about downtown Salt Lake City recently and saw this scaffolding that looked kind of interesting.
    I made two exposures.
Which do you think is the better of the two?
    Why?
    Thanks!

Well, I kind of feel like the guy is necessary, although both pictures are appealing with the patterns of the scaffolding. I do like the light better in the second w/o him...it almost seems "heavenly"...lol. But I think the worker gives more to the picture.

You need the man to give it focus. The holga is not so good with abstracts because it isn't sharp enough. It need sentiment to work.

I prefer the first shot with the worker and the exposier is better. The second is just off, color, lighting. One is nice.

I agree, photo #1 is best. The guy creates the story that completes the shot. And I like where you have him in the frame. Better contrast in that one, too.

With, the other one just looks too busy, or plain or something. I'm not sure, but the one with the guy is more pleasing to me.

I would say just about everything is better in the first picture. The tonality is lovely and the guy creates a pleasing release from the monotony of the scaffolding. I thoroughly enjoy it.
