My dog. I was just messing around on my front lawn, do you think the background is too distracting? You can see my broken gutter lol.

    Re: Sasha

Pretty good shot. The bg is a bit distracting but not as much as her front feet being chopped off.
    Nice dog!

Seems like Frog here is always a step ahead of me ...the BG is ok...the DOF aids big time, and yeap the crop on the bottom is way to tight.

Great shot. The background is perfectly ok, although different ones would change the mood.

Yea I noticed that, I took a few more with her feet showing, but i didn't like her face as much.

I like the second crop, but agree that the eyes on the first one look more lively. Good looking dog. - TF

Cute dog and the photo shows it. I like her pose in the first one better, but agree that the second's background is less distracting. Either way, nice shot.

Thanks Guys, She's getting old, just turned 10. I have to try and get my kitten to sit still now.

...or crank up the shutter speed!

BG in the first one is not great, but Sasha's expression makes it the winner.

Yea, its tough because shes an inside cat, so its a constant lowlight situation, I'll have to break out the external flash.

    Re: Sasha

Agree with the comments already made,

At least she poses long enough for you to take photos
Mine doesn't like me looking at her through the camera and is way to hard to compose a decent shot.

    Re: Sasha

I didn't notice the gutter until you pointed it out. You have barely enough room in your second shot to crop it out. I'm not bothered by the cut-off feet. I think we only look at that when finding a critique, not reacting to the shot. You did a good job getting almost an eye-level viewpoint, but laying on your belly and taking the shot would have made it even better.

    Re: Sasha

The front paws are certainly better if they were not cut, but the first feels more true to her personality...

Oh and I really wish you did not mention the gutter, because that's the only thing I look at now... wouldn't have noticed it otherwise

    Nice shots...

Thanks, I'm gonna clone the gutter out later tonight, I've been busy with my Architecture project that was due today.
