Here are a few shots from my San Francisco trip, Please be completely honest. I tried to take ideas that you all have given me.

I really like the first shot here. It's a great glimpse into some travellers lives. I like the different positions they're in. One even looks like he's slumped over forward and passed out. The handicap sign is bothering me a bit though. It just feels in the wrong place. Another one I like is #3.

One more thing, you seem to have compressed these too much and they look rather terrible on my end.

They do look terrible. I'm going to reprint these. There are just prints from Target.

Try some angles, get down low or up high, show some context, and tell the viewer a story. On the photo of the church, you may have liked it, but personally I would have skipped it due to the ugly light.

On the stairs, what was it that drew your attention to it? Close in on that, or show more of it so you can tell us why it was fascinating enough for you to snap it.

Just my 2 cents... Don't mean to seem harsh, or anything.

I think you have captured some photos with interesting compositions. You seem to be arranging your shots with the overall abstract shapes and blocks of color in mind. That's a good thing.
I agree about the compression artifacts detracting from the shots. It may be that Target does an overly agressive compression on the scan if this is from files they supply with the prints. What's your overall process for getting the files you've uploaded here?

Not bad shots. I like the top one but not the tilt. Gotta watch that carefully. The third and fourth photos from the top are interesting: I like how the fellow is looking at that sign, and also how you cropped the cars driving past the couple - how you left space in front of the moving vehicle, which seems to open up the whole photo. You have a film scanner?
