The blank sky is a problem, you might try cropping right at the top of the trees on the left. That will help but not cure the sky problem.

The sky reflection otoh looks pretty good. Can you reshoot this on a day with a better sky or with a split neutral density filter?
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Sammamish Slew

since the sky is blown out and blah, I would crop down to the first treetop on left and then work on levels, maybe layer and isolate green..and a tad hue/saturation ..objective being to try and pop the upper forrest out some from the haze and the sky..??..I would try anyway.
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!

I scrolled down and cropped off all the sky from the top.
I think it works, and gets over the problem.

yes that definately helps with the exposure....not so much with overall composition though IMO..i like a little sky..although this might need a reshoot

I like the composition, Jimmy. I know that's what skys look like around here most of the time.

    Re: Sammamish Slew

Thank you all. It was a typical overcast morning here. I will reshoot this at some point soon and maybe a different time of day.
I have to invest in a nuetral filter, all I have at this point is a warming and a polerizer.

I don't know why but the image looks very, very grainy. Shoot at a lower iso, and definitely invest in a ND for shots like this. Depending on the time of day the polarizer might have actually been useful, but since you said it was overcast I doubt it.
