This is a beautiful image Liban. I'm sure this web sized version does not do it any justice. I would love to be able to look at this as a large print. Did you shoot this digitally or on film?
Agree that this is a great composition but the light on the right hand side of the image isn't helping the end result, toning down may well help. Without the surfer who is out of the water it would bt a bit tricky to tell what the specks in the water actually are but I think the end result works well overwell.
That's a carefully composed picture for sure. I am really drawn by the waves in the foreground, there is a particular quality to them. I do wish that the hot spot at the right in the sky wasn't there.
Yeah, the sky on the right side is a bit overexposed. I thought lighthouse would stand out more because of it (although I didn't do it on purpose).
But now that most are unanimous in that it distracts. I'm gonna have to give it another look and see what I can do.
Yes the upright Surfer saves this shot, I tried to time one of them on a wave. This one worked out just fine. I hadn't been on the wave, they would've looked like ducks or something at this size. Although in the original the people are more prominent.
Thanks for the feedback as always people
and CL, I shoot Digital. This was with my D70s.

Just fixed the sky on the top right and I did one more edit, anyone notice what it was?
Ok I prefer this version with just the single surfer - Oh! do I get a prize?
Nicely captured
