    Row Row Row Your Boat

I used the same Minota Maxxum with my 75-300mm lens here... I believe it's a touch out of focus but this amateur is open to criticism.

Looks like you used a very narrow DOF. I would straighten the horizon and might even crop some of the sky since it really adds nothing to the shot. But the subject is priceless and the composition is good. Well done other than the focus issue.

It's unfortunate I caught this one on film. The photo shop can put them on CD but the image quality is never the best, and editing is always a problem. Luckily I can still fix those two issue's though, so thanks!
This is why I am looking forward to (hopefully) my D80 - my "from me to me" birthday treat!

    Welcome to PR.
Great moment captured.Yeah, horizon for sure,I think a 16 x 9 crop.Very soft, but still it works.I get a good impression of the ocean swell building/or being between swells.Does that make sense?
I agree. The subject is priceless.

The man looks like or close to Steven Segal.
    Great mood.
Congrats' on your new camera purchase. You will love the D80...

It might make a good picture but its definitly not a good idea to row three little girls into a choppy sea with nary a lifejacket in sight.

You know, I think I'm going to have to be the odd man out on this one. I like the tilt to the horizon. I think it engages the viewer more and gives you more of a feel of being on the sea with them. Other than the focus, I like the picture as is. Nice shot

Haha.. indeed. The camera does play tricks however The water here isn't much higher than mid thigh. The waves themselves are less than 1.5 feet and they are all breaking because they are over a very shallow moss reef. Its much like swimming in a kiddies pool, but the picture is more impressive
