    I'm slightly disturbed by the left forefinger knuckle being cropped out, and the back of the left hand is a little darker than I prefer, I think your dof is about there. The shot works a lot better in b&w though than it would in color.

    I'd like to see more symmetry in how the frame cuts the subject, i.e. the hands are not framed the same. Different Depth of Field so not just the fingernails are accented, and a different level of contrasting so not all the detail in the shadow area is lost.

    The title and composition go well but I need to see more defintion of 'rough', not just the tips of the fingers, but the dirt and texture of the hands and skin as well.

    I really like the light, dark, light, dark play provided by the lighting.

    Personally i would love to see more details from the palm ... the "roughness" from the palm could evokes more thots and imaginations from a viewer's point (thinking what kind of life or work this pair of hand's does} ...
