Rose Bowl on the 4th of July

I took this photo at the Rose Bowl in the 4th of July of last year (2007). What do you think? I shot from the distance when everyone else was shooting close by. What can be improved? I did not change the image except that I converted it from raw to jpeg and resized.

Re: Rose Bowl on the 4th of July

I think that it works well overall but there area few points that are bugging me. I think that the main firework should be centralised more, am wondering if the two separate sets of fireworks actually complement each other (perhaps the red one alone would have been more effective?) and the smoke generated by the fireworks detracts from the overall sharpness of your image. Saying that, I think it is a very good attempt though, I enjoy firework photographs as it clearly isn't a simple task to get perfect results so this still gets a thumbs up from me!

Watch your horizon, the rose bowl has quite a tilt to it, easily fixed with a crop.

    Looks good.

Straighten the image and crop off the empty sky above the large burst.
    No, I DON'T need that.
