    Ropes

This attracted me immediately as I entered a small church in Wales. I knew immediately that I would have my work cut out trying to get a correct exposure setting for this, so I chickened out and set the camera to AUTO. A little bit of fiddleing in PS followed.
    Comments welcome.

I can see how setting your camera up for this would be difficult. I really like this photo. The light on the ropes are great. Frame up is good. I think the window might be a little bright but I'm unsure. Did you play around with it to see what it would look like darker? I'm sure you'll get a lot of reviews and better comments than I've given.

    Re: Ropes

I think the only thing that could have helped this would have been a little bit of fill into the ropes. Not too much, as you want those shadows, but I feel that the strongest point of this image are the colors in the ropes. A little bit of flash or reflected light might have shown some more of those colors up.

Otherwise, great shot, nice eye for composition.
