    Re: Rockstar

I would say the second photo has more impact. I just think it has a better compostion and detail that the first photo is missing. I don't like how you can't make out the mohawk in the first photo as well, a little bit more of a side profile would of been much cooler.
I like the 2nd photo but I would have had the guitar a little more across his body or at least be able to see it a little easier.
    Nice job on both.
    Cheers.

    Re: Rockstar

It is hard for me to tell what is the first or second photograph on these posts. I like the first one the best. I like the depth of field, the point of view and the warmer tones. I actually like that you don't see the whole guitar and that the top of the guitar seems to almost push out of the picture. A cool effect...

    Re: Rockstar

    Hi,

I like both these images as is. I like the pose, angle, exposure, lighting (especially the 2nd), and focus. If this just a project of your own, I suggest changing the title of the series to "artist" or something. Those shots make me think of someone inspired to express.

However if they are promo shots for that musician's portfolio, I'd do a few things differently. When I think of "rock star", I don't t think of someone hanging out in a bus shelter playing a nylon string guitar. Of the two, I think the 2nd shot is stronger and more arty/introspecive. I agree of the suggestion to somehow show more guitar.

    Both

They are both really wonderful images for different reasons.
The lighting on the second is exquisite, I'd have to say I had more of an immediate "Oooh" response to that one. It's sexier than the first. The first, however, is a good solid portrait of young man with guitar.
