    Rock cut series - Which?

I have been taking shots of vegitation growing on rock cuts along our highways. I found these blackeyed susans yesterday and like both these shots about equally. I'm wondering if you prefer one over the other and why.

i voted for yellow on right just because i think the opposite side is better in that one. it seems a little more simple and less crowded.

Yellow on right as it has eliminated the tall dead stalk from the yellow on left shot.

Same here. The shot with the yellow flowers at the right feels simplier and easier on the eyes (not that any of these two feel busy but that's where my preference goes).

The yellow on the right for all of the reasons already posted.

Thanks to everyone who voted and especially to those who explained their preference. It's pretty clear which is preferred.

I'm doing these as a series of photos, but also using them as subjects for paintings. I guess I was seeing the 'yellow on left' shot as a painting with that dead stalk in the center left out. Hope I can get these extremely weathered rocks to look right in the painting.
