Re: Robert Sharp and the Star of India

Welcome back, CF. I like these reflection shots, but i think both of them should be alot more tightly cropped.
For the top image, I would crop right down from the top to the name plate, then from the bottom up to the reflection of the plate, and then equally on both sides to get the square crop again.
Something similiar for the bottom image.
    Good to see you back

    Gary,

Thanks for leaving the comments. I will play with the crop on each. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Two very nice shots CF. # 1 is a strong composition, with good reflection and color. But the pic seems titled to me, even if it isn't. I see your suggestion Gary, but the pieces in this pic are all so nice it would be a shame to lose any. I don't know what the solution is there!

    # 2, I think it might be too tightly cropped. Powerful color.

    GB,

Thanks for the comments. I understand Gary's comment about the crop in the first image, have played with it, but really like it the way it is. Don't know what that says about my eye. Maybe that is why I am not making a living at photography. Regarding image two, unfortunately, what crop there is/was occured when I took the picture. I will have to look at the group I took of this subject and see if there is a shot with a wider perspective. Thanks for the comments.

    CF.

I like them both just the way they are. If the boat looks tilted, maybe it's because it was rocking on the water.
