ahh, what a pretty sky! Gives me great memories of our trip there. Wouldn't mind living there for awhile. Beautiful city.

The clouds and sky in this picture are wonderful. The clouds look fluffy and the sky has a nice blue about it. Great photo.

Great shot. Nice composition and very nice colors. The one thing I find distracting is there's too much blue sky which doesn't add to the picture, a tighter crop might be better for this pic.

    Just my two cents,

    Jared

I never seen skies & clouds that beautiful before my trip to Costa Rica. I think the elevation had something to do with it. I felt that I could almost touch the clouds they were so low.

Yeah, I think you're right Jared. The blue over powers everything else. I'll try a tighter crop.

I actually like your new crop. I just noticed this however. The mountains look a tad underexposed. Perhaps you could fix it in PS or something, just a nitpic . Other than that Great picture.

I think what you're noticing is the haze from the moisture in the air, casting a bluish tint on the mountains.

I like your cropped version much better than the first. My initial reaction was, wow, what beautiful clouds, but then they just stopped and the sky was empty. A very beautiful picture. Nice work!

Leels, I get the feeling that your composition is too "linear" so to speak with every major line in an horizontal position and pretty much parallel to each others. In other words, it's quite obvious that this was shot with you being perpendicular to the scene and it lack perspective to create some depth. That being said, the clouds are stunning (and the panoramic crop help to emphasis this). The location appears to have serious potential so I think that it could worth to shot some more frames at different angles if possible.

Your title caught my eye - I just got back from a 3 and a half week vacation there. I want to go back!!

Beautiful picture - like the recrop with less blue sky better than the first post. The clouds look great.

Thumbs up Re: Road to San Jose

As for myself, I like the original more - it attracts more attention to the clouds hanging in the blue and beautiful ocean of sky The sky is perfect! The second one tells you to look down. And the bottom part needs more work - should be re-taken. It needs more 3D (depends on sun and clouds position and landscape look), and the horizontal line of trees doesn't look good (I agree with Seb here).
So I would crop it the other way: the sky and partly mountains should be the only objects here - according to my tastes of course (btw, people first noticed the sky and clouds!!) )

Thnx Seb, I took this shot from a bus on my way to San Jose, Costa Rica. I'm back home now so there's no way I could reshoot ;). The original photo has an angle to it but it's from the actual high way dissapearing to the right of the shot, it didn't look too nice so I cropped it out.

    Thnx Jared

    Cool_shooting,
I like the grass, I think it gives it another dimension & the green tones just adds a punch of colour in what would other wise be a blueish shot. I've tried cropping it that way but I didn't like it.

    Thnx for your comments.
