    The Road Ahead

    All feedback appreciated.

I downloaded a demo version of Silver Efex Pro2, which is a software for black and white conversion. and I love it. I think Nik software have hit another one out of the park.

    Re: The Road Ahead

    Very good one here Liban.
It's got a sort of instant impact. The car gives the impression that it is just about to shoot off and leave some burning rubber in it's wake. So, for me it is really about the car and not the road ahead but your title is apt enough.
Your treatment looks as though something like HDR has been applied; is this usual with black and white? (shows what I know about HDR!).
I like the border. could you tell me how you made it please?

Thanks Tom. Yeah the car overpowers the road for sure.

The border I did in Silver Efex Pro 2, which I just downloaded a free 15 day trial. It has a border option on the panel if you scroll down. This is border #12.

    The software is here:

    third link from the left.

try it out. it's free for 15 days and it doesn't leave those nasty watermarks even if you work on a full size image.

oh and yeah this was a slight colour HDR that i just converted to black and white using the application i mentioned above.

    Re: The Road Ahead

These Nik software guys are real smart. They hook you with the 15 day trial and then BAM they make a sale. They got me with their HDR application first. I used it for 2 weeks fell in love and ended up buying it. This looks like it might be repeated here.

Also, Tom, I was looking for how to do borders like this for Ages!!! and no success, then was pleasantly surprised to see it in this software.
