    Re: Rim Shot

The reflection off the wheel of the first bike makes it to be NOT just another line of motorcycles shot. I like it!
You could crop the top, maybe. Can't decide myself.

Not bad, I am seeing some sort of haze? Or something

    How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?

anyway...I think the glare takes away from the rest of the bikes and DOF you have created

    CF,

I like the chrome and the way the bikes lead the eye into the shot. I think the bright reflection is causing some lens flare (haze) which detracts from the overall shot, but which is also correctable in post processing. I would also probably prefer to see more of the bikes instead of just the wheels.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I had thought of all these comments but didn't know what it all added up to; the haze, the line of the wheels, the flair, etc. There is something appealing about the shot but there is something wrong also. Thanks for the input, it all helps very much.

I can't decide if this is a good one or not - to me it seems a little 'so what' the background is a little out of context in some ways because it looks like a hut in a park.

Perhaps less DOF would have made it better.

    Sorry to be so critical.

CF, it seems a little dark, which may have something to do with the time of day you shot this.

    John/Roger:

No need to apologize, I asked for the comments. And, you see, both of you have hit on even further examply of exactly why I can't decide if this shot is "ok" or not. I appreciate the comments as they are all helpful. Thanks,
