    Rhododendron

Two shots of the same area. I think they both look good. What about you? I hope I'm not posting too much in a short time, but it was good weather and I happend to be able to go out a lot. It is raining now and will be for a week or so, so I wont post most likely for a while. Anyway, the pics:

Both work well and are exposed nicely, to pick one I would go with the second, I particularly like the leaf that leads the eye into the image. If you have a macro lens then it might be revisiting and trying to get a bit closer and I keep on wanting to crop these images and get closer to the real detail in the image.

    Re: Rhododendron

I dont have a marco lens, only my 28-80mm. There is a lot of detail that is easier to see when you see the image straight from the camera, larger resolution, too bad it doesnt show when they are smaller. I'm just a beginnger so I'm just trying to get a handle on how to get good shots. Someday I'll have another lens or two.

In fact, I dont know much about this kind of photography, and would like to learn. I think I just picked up the habit from my mom, taking pics of flowers all the time.
