Perhaps you could choose a couple shots that you'd like critiques on and show them here. You have a good eye for composition and unusualsubjects. I especially like the shot of the chech que.

Nice site. By all means, post a few of your pics on here for critique. You do good work. Loved the long term parking gallery. Those are all nice shots, but have you thought of trying them in b&w?

I like it. The college pics are my favorite...beer everywhere...shameless decapitation and blur. Excellent. I wish I had that many photos from college. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I also like your comments. They work well together. Keep it up.

But, like everyone else said, you're really supposed to post pictures in this forum.

    Welcome.

    thanks all

chunks—thanks for the compliment. I'll put some pics up for sure. there are a few of images on the site that I am happy with; there are a few that I think are failures. then there are those that I am not quite sure of—it is this type that I'll be putting up since I've basically made up my mind about the first two types.

srobb—as much as I like those shots I feel that they're lacking in terms of composition. no dynamic. converting them to black and white might make that all the more obvious. still, I'll try when I get home.

brian—thanks for the tip. should I post my pics on this thread or start a new one? I'll post here unless you say otherwise to save space.

    aight.

    so here we go:

I thought this was interesting visually, but I'm not sure if it actually says anything. does it have to say anything—or more precisely—is it eye-candy enough to not have to say anything at all? I'm not sure it is.

how do you guys feel about accidents like this? how about intentional "accidents" like the camera toss (they have a group devoted to that in flickr)?

when I first started started using the lensbaby, I thought it was a way to make the mundane more interesting. I'm starting to believe that effects like this aren't necessary, it's more about composition. is lensbaby overkill?

thanks all — I like this site already.

Very interesting images. Love the first one and how you have the small mirror and it's reflection in focus and everything else blurred. With photography being art, at least most of us think so, there are always individual tastes. Number two I like because of it being so abstract. Took a few like that long ago. Number three can't really say. I like it from the standpoint of seeing other shots done with the lensbaby, but can't say from a technical point of if it was done properly.

Keep posting and find some of the other forums to post pics in.

Interesting shots and welcome to the forum, I like the second of the images here the post, I think you have managed to take a very interestng, abstract shot of a scene that is undoubtedly heavily photographed.

    Thanks for sharing

I like the first and third the best. The first for the reason SRobb mentioned. And the third because the shot looks a little ghostly (like one of those out of body experiences) with the point pushed further by the "time expired" flag in the meter.

srobb—I agree about the third one. it's a little flat colorwise and the highlights are blown out. however that IS the "style" of the lensbaby so I could just say it's the nature of the beast. I don't mind the composition, and I like how dbutler impressed his own interpretation on the image.

thanks herriot, I didn't think about the second shot that way.
