Looking for your feedback on this. . .
What do you think?
Thanks
Lol, That is nicely seen. One of my first thought was that the sky was flat but then I figured out that a more dramatic sky with clouds would simply act as a distraction from what really matters here.
I also appreciate the overall simplicity of the scene without having a frame that would be too empty.
Seb. . . thanks for the comments. I usually look to shoot with dramatic clouds, but there were none this day and I think i like that the sign is boldly standing out stark against the flat gray sky. I agree with your points about the clouds or lack of.
CLKunst . . thanks for the comments as well. Glad this is found to be humorous.
Rebekah . . .Glad to see you on the board. I appreciate your thoughts . . .
Carl. . . Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your time to comment, much appreciated
Tom. . .Welcome to the forum as well. No troubles during the shoot. . .but the evidence is out there now. . . . . time will tell.
But it is a good image, simplicity is good, I cant picture it with a dramatic sky, lack of color, perfect, well done...It does strike me as amusing, but I cant put my finger on what it is...

Hi Gary,
Good shot. I like the comical element. I also like the use of many vertical elements in the shot: the lamp poles, the sign, and the other poles. I wish the backgorund of the man standing were not brushes. I guess the figure would be more prominent if he were against a white background or the sky. Nice shot!
yoyo
Thanks for the comments, all. Hmmm some of you know me all too well. . . .
Yoyo, yes the vertical elements are what I like alot about the scene as well. Agreed about the bush,
Ballsy, just plain ballsy
I can see a 30x40" print of this hanging in my bathroom!
How many freinds do you have? I can picture someone at each post with 2 or 3 people behind them in line, and a dog using the hydrant.
LOL, LOL,
Mark.
