    Reflection

Perryville Community Park. I've tried to capture this bench in several other attempts. I thought one was successful (although others disliked it!) and the rest were mediocre. I like this one although I was there at the time (!) so the mood may have struck me more.

    Re: Reflection

I'd have to say this picture is nice. Two things that kind of stand out in a bad way, to me, are the bench itself and some of the branches towards the right hand side. The bench seems to kind of clash with the earthy tones of everything else as the bench seems orange and yellow. It looks a bit too vibrant even though it kind of looks old at the same time. I do like, however, how you're just drawn to the bench. The branches in the top left hand portion of the picture seem to be kind of fuzzy and they look almost transparent to me. Still, it's a good picture.

The color of the bench is wahat drew me to it in the first place. I think it's cool the way that it clashes with the surroundings and adds a point of focus for the eye. With a dull color, the bench would have blended in with everything else.

I agree with the bench statement. I don't really agree with the title of "Reflection", but that bench is definately a great addition. Kind of a "new" wood in an "old" wood setting you know?

Great eye though, maybe if the bench could be a little larger, but I think it works.

    Well done.

Thanks! I did try to get closer but then the water was cut out of the image and they look weak. I was restrained by the river between me and the bench! I'm not as young as I used to be, I no longer jump in!.

The title was a tough one. "reflection" refers to my state of mind at the time, not the physical reflection in the water. I just couldn't think of another title. That happens a lot for me!
