    Loupey - I grew up in the DC area and have a few shots like this. I've found them fine as a vacation type shot, but also difficult to get one that stands out. Probably means a little more to a vietname vet than the average viewer too. This one is well composed except for the reflection of the guy in the fogreground. I like the kid touching the wall esp, and also the monument. The sky doesn't seem to be cooperating for the photo here unfortunately.

    In all, a decent shot of the wall, but a little bit of a hey-I-was-there shot, if ya know what I mean. Hard to get that great one with subjects like this (or so I've found...)

    Yeah, GB. It's always challenging to find a new angle on any much-photographed subject. Due to the fact that they are visited and photographed by so many people, it is difficult to achieve something other than your typical "vacation shot". And when you do, the other people tend to get in the way!
