    Its good to see you thinking about a different way of capturing that beach shot. There are a couple of things that I think may help this, but rather than describe them I hope you don't mind me trying to show them instead.

    The original and the modified versions have different feelings but both are good. The original is a bit off-beat but inspiring. The modified one has pleasing feeling.

    I like this image, I too prefer the original....it makes me look twice at the bottom of the photo and is quite amusing.

    original one for me as well, it reminds me of those funky mirrors you get at funfairs which always make me laugh.

    I like the cropped one but would crop off even the little bit of toe at the bottom, and then print it large on canvas or textured paper and frame it. It would work well as almost a painting.
