    "Red Lake Panoramic" 10,000ft Elevation

    This is one of another lakes in the area. This is Red Lake in Alpine County. I had to try a Pano with this one. I shot this one hand held @ 18MM and stitched 4 pictures. No HDR on this one. From where I am standing (7,900ft) to the top of the peak is a 2,000ft elevation change. The mounds of snow you see in the bottom are hole dug by ice fisherman.

    I was not aware that you could do a hand held pano. Great stuff, a fisherman on the ice would have been brilliant.

    I have hand held a few. I use the focusing screen to line up the horizon. As for the picture I think it is awesome. It might could have used to be a little wider at the top. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
