    Red bud flower

Well in kentucky this tree is flowering every where right now. i tried to get the whole tree but couldn't blurr the background (leafless trees) enough behind it to make it stand out like i wanted, but i got this pictures just after the rain. What do you think?

    Re: Red bud flower

Dylan8i, I love the subject and the angle you nailed this from. The bud and petal look like a profile of a face of some sort. I think there is too much space around it. It shouldbe isolated more and maybe cropped into another format like 8x10. I cropped it, tilted it a bit down more and darkened some of the bg elements. I think it brings out what it is that I personally get from your image.

thanks gary i do like your version alot. all i ever do in pp is change the tonal range and lighten/darken the overall picture ( and sometimes crop). i gotta learn to "see" what to do in PP more often.
