Aaron and I have been horse trading again so now I own a Mamiya M645. I have had my eye on this subject for a few days and wanted to add it to my series of recliners. What do you think?

Thanks Jetrim. I have an old couch picture somewhere . It seems everyone wants to leave the recliner behind. There are quite a few houses that have been foreclosed on in the area and others have been bought out for a highway coming through. There are actually two or three recliners I haven't got around to covering yet.

I know about these things .. my own vehicle has a selection of red coats for slapping on passers-by, an inflatable hay bale for those otherwise boring fields, and a complete full size model of the London Underground made out of cardboard

Stuff like this clutters up the woods. It looks like it was taken in the dead of winter.

Decent shot, has mood, etc. But it is a bit geometric & I'd like to see more space around it. So it isn't bad, just needs a little more space (listen to Aaron).

I also have a Mamiya 645 btw

Greg - All film looks good on the Mamiya. I like Velvia and Kodak vivid saturated for landscape work, Kodak Portra and Fuji ? (both 160 ASA) for portraiture.

I have the "e" btw, sort of an entry level version. What lens do you have for it? I need to use mine more, have been laz-y

GB, I have the 80mm 1.9. I also got the eye level finder in today. I have a few rolls of Kodak E-100 Aaron passed along with the camera and Some Portra 400 as well.

Nice idea, works pretty good, but I would have preferred a recliner with more wear and tear, to give the photo a bit of "they dumped their best friend for years" or something like that, you know what I'm getting at hehe.

Greg - I like the wider version better, though you could probably play with the contrast and lighting to make it work better.

There is so much of this stuff. I do a lot of running and you see things then that you don't see from cars - trash, junk.. it's sad. There must be armies of litterers out there just tossing stuff all night long.

Of the two, I like the second one better. I think the wider shot kind of lends more mystery to the shot. The wider view yields a better angle of the foot path or break in the brush, which leads me to believe that maybe whomever placed it there walked that way.

I really think that the B/W works well, although maybe a shot of it in the fall with the surrounding colors might work too.
