    Rebirth

This is a little odd even for me. I know its very abstract, but what do you think? There is no heavy post processing. All I did was crop it virtical. I did play around with it in Post but decided to leave it as is. I do not consider it a true abstract because I could not recreate it. I will clue you in later what it is. I do like it for some strange reason. It looks better in full res.

its great,it really makes you think what the heck is it and you stare at it guessing to oneself,i'd have to say thats what you want in a photo to accomplish, you did it ,but i still would like to know ? perhaps later after a few guess's, ( a evening shot of a sparkler )perhaps.

Excellent capture, but I find it missing a foreground subject. Maybe you can paste one in there cause the fireworks here are too good to waste!

Well done. The composition is good. I would imagine this would look great in print.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..

    Re: Rebirth

GB1 hit this one on the head. It is the combination of two fireworks.

The first is just what was left after it completed its burst and was fading out. The second the starburst was just at its beginning. Hence the name "Rebirth" It just happen to start pretty much where the first one did. I thought it was a pretty neat effect.

I would love to tell you all that I planned it that way but it's just one of the things I captured during the course of the shoot. It was my first time and I found myself too close to the action, not a wide enough lens, no opportunity for a foreground element and NO TRIPOD.

This was practice for the Fourth but I did get some interesting results. I was just happy to capture anything! You can see this ones more colorful brethren at:

For the fourth I plan on following Sebastian’s suggestions posted in Viewfinder. Thanks to all for taking the time.

This one was my best shot.
