I like your dof and the use of toning. That's a well seen photograph.

Nicely done. Well composed with not too much or too little of the book and eye-glasses.

Nice placement and/or framing of the two main elements and their intrinsic lines to create an effective image. Good photo.

The colour balance is an interesting decision. From a photographic view, why did you make it?

yeah it is. cool shot, and the I like the color tone you have put on this image. The magnification of the words is a nice touch. I wish it were a bit bigger, but to do that you'd have to get stronger glasses, which I'm sure is something you DON'T want to do. Haha, well done though.

    Re: Reading

It's a clever and well taken image. I have seen a similar one except that the book was a dictionary and the magnified portion was a word like "magnify"

    Re: Reading

    Jurgen -

I think the idea/concept is sound and clever. Here's some suggestions also:

    - deemphasize the areas not magnified by the glasses

    - magnify some significant text. If there was something humourous, outragious, etc in the text magnified, that would make more sense (perhaps there is something to that text and I'm not seeing it........?)

    - The glasses and/or area magnified may be a little too small in relative to the rest of the image. I would consider a crop.

Attached are some implementations of what I'm babbling about.
