    Rain-touched Rose

    Here is a picture I took of a rose in my yard next to the driveway. These roses are the most beautiful I've ever seen. The image doesn't do them justice. They have a very velvety texture. It was still drizzling when I took this. My son held an umbrella over me and the camera. He asked which one he should be covering. I said I won't melt, keep it over the camera. Canon A-1, Canon 50mm f1.4 with some close-up adapters added. Not sure which ones. Don't know the settings. Lou

    This comes very close to being a fine image. Colors are rich, there's nice detail on the water drops and throughout the frame. The dark petals, especially the top one... from the lighting or flower just a bit past its prime? A little brighter on the dark petals and some of the darker green leaves, and you'd have a winner, in my opinion.
