    frog & Roger .. thanks for your kind words. I've pretty well put this one to bed now. Easter is upon me which is about the busiest weekend in the year for me. The closing date for the comp isn't until April 30th so I have a few weeks to "live" with the picture before submitting it.

    HowLowCanYaGo .. thanks for having a go. I never mind if people want to fiddle with my photos (with the usual provisos!). I think yours is a little over the top - however, I do like the way you made the poles look wet. That is a nice touch. How did you do it?

    If you have photoshop, just create a new layer on top of your picture. Using a small, soft airbrush with black as your foreground, paint over them. Then change the layer to "soft light" and maybe lower the opacity.
