I like this, though I think I'd like to see more of the greenery in the background, too. I have noticed a lot of times greys, especially "wood" grey like this, seem to have a blue tint when in the shade. I debate about whether I should try to pull it back to grey, or if it really is that blue, and I just don't see it with my eyes.

I would try and concentrate on the first post and zoom in as a portrait into this area becasue the shadows after this spot spoils the patterns on this area.
I also feel that you need to bring out more of the texture of the fence and the colours inherent in the wood and shadows.
Hope that makes sense. Another thing is to try this in B&W could be good.
What I do like is the lighting you captured, nicely done.

Sure this has nice exposure and fairly good color (a little cold though) but to me this image is missing something to draw my eye into the photo and keep it there.
I'm thinking it needs something in the lower right corner (like a flower or old rusty object) to stop the viewers eye as it follows the line of the fence. I would also crop about about 10% off the top to reduce the amount of foliage in the upper right corner and make the image more about the fence.
Great comments, everyone. I like it enough but also feel awkward about it so posted it for comments so this is great. This is one of those learning experience shots.
