Great shots and welcome to the boards! You've done some great capturing, definitely looks news/press worthy shots. I have no idea what the first one with the pens (?) have to do with racing, but I love it nonetheless, a great abstract shot. Great DOF and crops in all of them!

Nice looking photos. Could easily be in mags.
My favorite is the close up of the bikers...just love the composition and colors, yet nothing distracts from her face.

Thanks all. Actually the one photo is of spoke colors offered by a new company in the industry. For some reason, I really like the look of it.

Here's some more photos I took. I hope to have the submitted to different mags very soon. It'd be great to get a picture or two published!

"Wow" is my reaction to the last one. These are all very good, you don't seem to have forgotten much in your time off from photography.

Your strengths appear to be your cropping, your "portrait" style of bike photography, and to an extent your use of light. You have a great way of capturing emotion and expression in these shots. As for improvement, the only thing I might suggest is adding fill flash in certain situations, but then only selectively as the existing light is crucial in a few of these. Whether these are excepted by magazines will depend on what the editors are looking for. If you're not accepted at first I would absolutely stick with it and work on your style 'till they let you in.
