    Quack Quack

    These were taken in a forest preserve a couple of weeks ago. It was snowy and cold and these ducks made me cold ducking in and out of the water. I was shooting down from a bridge at them so the angle isn't great.

    Actually, I think the angle at which you shot supplies the interest in your image. There seems to be a magenta cast on the image, and the ducks look like they could be a bit brighter and sharper. I like the patterns formed in the water's ripples.

    I would say that while there is lots wrong with this photo technically ( underexposed subject, not very sharp, angle of shot, ) that all goes out the window when the photo ultimately does what it is supposed to do in this case, and that is to interest and entertain the viewer. This shot keeps me looking because of the action of one of the ducks(dunking head in water) and the ripples and motion in the water as Charles pointed out. So the shot works for me. Keep it up . . . .

    What Charles said. Good duck photo though. Usually duck photos are not that interesting but this one definitely is....
